This SATA cable, also known as Serial ATA cable, consists of a straight SATA socket to a straight SATA socket, female / female. It is used to connect and transfer data between two devices with a SATA connector. This cable is compatible with all devices with SATA connectors, such as internal hard drives, SSDs, HDDs, DVD drives, burners and many other devices with Serial ATA connectors. This cable is for data transfer, not for power supply! The metal lock on the connectors provides stability and a secure hold, thus increasing the quality of the data transmission and reducing interference. The robust PVC jacket ensures a longer durability of your SATA cable.
The SATA cable has the specification SATA III. With SATA III, larger amounts of data can be transmitted than with its predecessors SATA II and SATA I. With SATA III, an SSD can theoretically reach 600 MB/s.
